Back in 2007, I visited London's Tate Modern and saw an exhibition where each piece of art was accompanied by a song from a new band. This is how I discovered New Young Pony Club, and after the exhibition went straight to the Virgin Megastore on Oxford Street (R.I.P.) to buy their debut album, Fantastic Playroom.
Over the past year or so, I thought that maybe they had fallen victims to the short-lived "nu-rave" scene that seems to ignite and then fade out like a glo-stick, but I was wrong.
Today, and today only, you can download their new moodier, Siouxsie-esque new single, "Lost A Girl" at their official site.
& here is the video:
They will also be headlining a UK tour in the new year and their 2nd album, "The Optimist" will be released in the UK on 1 March 2010.
