Natty Brooker Exhibit at Mono

Wednesday, 20 January 2010
Natty Brooker, best known for his work with Spacemen 3 and Spiritualized, had an exhibition at Mono in Glasgow. While his paintings were on display, Stuart Braithwaite from Mogwai played an acoustic set. Then local band St. Deluxe performed a set filled with Spacemen 3 covers.

The turn-out was brilliant. By the time I got there it was hard to find a place to sit (or stand, for that matter). And Natty's artwork is absolutely brilliant. Click here to see some of his work. If I wasn't a poor student I definitely would buy a few of his paintings.

Then after the live sets, Joe Foster (Creation Records) did a brilliant DJ set. Overall, a great night out.

Also, if you're a fan of St. Deluxe, or the Vivian Girls, they're playing at The Captain's Rest in Glasgow tonight! You can get a ticket here.
