Happy 70th Birthday, John Lennon

This week marks what would have been John Lennon's 70th Birthday and it seems to be everywhere on the internet today - even Google is dressed up for the event:


To celebrate, Yoko Ono has encouraged artists to submit their Lennon tribute videos. One in particular is from L.A. duo Magic Wands. Their video is well, magical?



As Yoko says, "Think peace. Act peace. Spread peace and imagine peace".

Basement Jaxx with Yoko Ono on Later...

Last night on Later...with Jools Holland they ended the show with a brilliant performance by Basement Jaxx featuring Yoko Ono. The track is called "Day of the Sunflowers" and is one of the stand-out tracks from Basement Jaxx's recent album, Scars.

For Yoko fans, the Yoko Ono Plastic Ono Band is having a remix competition for their track "The Sun is Down" off of their new album, Between My Head and the Sky. If you'd like to enter, the remix package is available for download here....good luck!
